The Center for Human Genetics (CHG) and the Sarah W. Stedman Nutrition and Metabolism Center at Duke University is seeking candidates for an available faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The academic home for this position will be in the Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics (B&B) at Duke University Medical Center with a secondary appointment in the Department of Medicine. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in a quantitative discipline (computational or systems biology, computer science, statistics, physics or similar). We are inviting applications from researchers with research experience in developing and applying computational approaches to cutting-edge questions in metabolomics, genomics and genetics. A commitment to multidisciplinary collaborative research is essential.The successful recruit will be a member of both the CHG and Stedman Center actively participating in joint collaborative research programs. The CHG and Stedman Center will be joined in newly constructed research space to enhance established collaborative research in the genetics and genomics of metabolomics profiles in cardiovascular disease, obesity and aging. Candidates will also be expected to actively participate in the research and training missions of the B&B and the Centers.Duke University is regularly ranked among the top research institutions in the US and worldwide.
