   Main Duties and Responsibilities  

 

The BES Asset Planner role spans the three to twenty-four month planning horizon and will be held accountable for the delivery of a number of core planning processes within the allocated brand portfolio, ensuring that mid to long-term supply is effectively balanced against demand. Further, the role will partner with the Supply Chain Lead and be accountable for leading the execution of the agreed brand strategy within the above horizon. Acting as the primary BES interface into the Global Supply Planner, the role will also represent BES in the Global Product S&OP and lead the local Pre S&OP for their assigned externally sourced supply chains. In this integral role, you will subsume overall accountability for the delivery of the agreed BES commitments to the Global supply chain plan within the boundaries of the products they represent. The role will ensure that supply within the three to twenty-four month horizon is secure, ensuring customer service levels are achieved and inventory levels are optimized. Accountable for agreeing the inventory RBU/ABU for BES and is accountable for producing the inventory budget. As accountability will also extend to the delivery of the agreed inventory budget, tracking inventory vs target will be necessary, and the Asset Planner will be expected to deploy the applicable corrective action to ensure delivery of the inventory target. Represent BES in contributing to the Global monthly Product S&OP process for assigned assets in a standardized manner in line with the global planning calendar in order to manage demand and supply exceptions, escalating issues where necessary and subsequently updating the local site plan based on agreed solutions. Lead the local Pre S&OP meetings. Be accountable for the stock calculation/renewal process for products produced by BES, for the brands supported. This includes the agreement of new parameters with Customers & Suppliers. Be accountable for undertaking scenario planning of volumes, capacities etc. Scenario planning can span from the Tactical through to Strategic time horizon (zero to five years). Regularly maintain, refresh and challenge standard tactical capacity outlooks for 3rd party assets on the brands supported, ensuring supply and demand is balanced and mitigate against any risk to supply in collaboration with the Global Supply Planner and Supply Chain Lead. Manage flavor management and Asset switch plans through the three to twenty-four month horizon. If the short-term (zero to three month) supply and demand plans that have been developed by the Supply Chain Co-coordinator cannot be balanced due to unplanned events or supply exceptions, the Asset Planner is accountable for the development of local options and the execution of supply solutions and communicating the associated risks. Support issue resolution impacting supported brands within the three to twenty-four month horizon, escalate to the Supply Chain Lead where appropriate. Drive the delivery of continuous improvement and innovation for brands supported by using input from the Supply Chain Lead and in line with agreed targets. Be the primary interface between BES and the Global Supply Planner. Accountable for the maintenance and accuracy for relevant master data for the assigned assets and associated products and ensure alignment to the Global standard format (The BES Supply Chain Co-coordinator is responsible for the execution of these activities). Supply product from external suppliers through the 'Supply to Customer' business process in line with customer demands and customer agreements.  

Requirements

   Essential Requirements  

 
       
  •      Bachelor's Degree    
  •    
  •      Three or more years in Supply Chain Environment (Manufacturing, Planning)    
  •    
  •      Five or more years in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical    
  •    
  •      Advanced supply chain (capacity and inventory) planning skills    
  •    
  •      SAP experience    
  •    
  •      Experience in managing and developing solutions for supply chain events    
  •    
  •      Understanding of different supply methods (IRL, VMI/CMI, Flow, Kanban)    
  •    
  •      Understanding of supply chain planning parameters, master data and master data integrity & quality    
  •    
  •      Experience in collaboration with the key interfaces within the end to end supply chain, with manufacturing and between supply chain and commercial functions

  •      Experience with commercial launches of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical drugs

  •      Experience in participating in the S&OP process

  •      Commercial experience is a plus
