Job Description

Analytik Jena US headquarters is seeking an Applications Specialist who has great passion for providing professional customer support and problem solving.  Responsible for answering customer and sales team questions and troubleshooting regarding Real-Time PCR applications, reagents, and nucleic acid purifications for full range of applications in genomics.  

Our company is an international leader in the design and production of innovative life science digital imaging systems and analysis software for use in basic, applied and preclinical research.  We are looking for the right individual who will be an effective 1) Product Advisor - Maintains in-depth knowledge of products and application capabilities and advises customers, distributors, and sales team to ensure customer satisfaction.  Tests applications and provides documentation support. 2) Collaborative Researcher - Possesses the ability to obtain powerful feedback from customers and colleagues through active listening, probing, asking clarifying questions, seeking to understand, and remaining open-minded. 3) Innovative Contributor - Sees challenges as opportunities to be innovative. 4) Continuous Learner - Stays current on technology trends and anticipates emerging consumer needs through research.  Attends conferences and trainings to become a stronger business partner. 5) Trainer – Trains sales team on products and applications.   



Bachelor’s or higher degree in Biology or related sciences and/or equivalent experience and knowledge.  Passionate about customer support, thinks outside the box and pushes the status quo.  Self-motivated, independent, and a proactive.  Confidence to communicate what they don’t know and to ask questions.  Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize critical tasks.  Demonstrates clear, engaging, and well-organized oral and written communications style in English.  Good command of science and ability to provide effective presentations to groups.  Aptitude for creative problem solving through professional collaboration to achieve customer satisfaction.  Occasional domestic travel up to 10% with possible international travel.
