Description

Miltenyi Biotec Inc., a global leader in biological magnetic cell separation science, is seeking an Applications Scientist based in San Diego, CA. This position is responsible for technical support of Miltenyi products through direct contact with customers and sales representatives as a consultant on experimental design and MACS™ product applications.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

·         Supports customers with technical questions and/or provides additional training via phone, live chat, remote instrument support, or in the lab
·         Identifies and works with researchers to foster new product introduction/ acceptance in the scientific community
·         Partners with marketing and technical staff to identify, assess, and prioritize new product potentials, and to develop product-marketing materials    
·         Provide technical workshops, seminars and trainings to sales and other staff
·         Provide hands-on field training and troubleshooting support for internal and external customers
·         Must be able to travel up to 35%
 

Requirements

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D., M.S, or B.S. in Cell Biology, Immunology, Hematology, Molecular Biology, or similar field with 2 - 4 years experience in a lab or technical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have a solid background in biological sciences, immunology, stem cell or cancer biology with understanding of procedures, concepts and lab experience. Flow cytometry experience preferred.

REQUIREMENTS : Must possess a valid driver’s license, evidence of insurance / insurability and ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts.
