Job Description

Cellerant Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on developing human stem cell and antibody therapies for oncology applications and blood-related disorders. Cellerant’s lead product, CLT-008, is under evaluation in a multicenter, open-label, randomized, controlled Phase 2 clinical trial in patients with de novo AML. The Company also has a cancer stem cell antibody discovery program focused on therapies for acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma and myelodysplastic syndrome.
                     
General Summary:
The Animal Technician will be responsible for the operation, general maintenance and upkeep of the vivarium facility and vivarium equipment and instruments under the direction of the Vivarium Supervisor.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Performing daily animal husbandry including, but not limited to, cage changes, cage washing and assembly, and animal health monitoring
•Performing vivarium operations including, but not limited to, operation of cage washer, autoclave, and water bottle filler
•Performing general vivarium facilities maintenance and upkeep including, but not limited to, room and equipment cleaning and sanitation, scheduled equipment performance testing, and accurate record keeping
•Maintaining facilities and equipment to comply with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals
•Additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Minimum 1 year relevant experience preferred
•AALAS certificate (LAT or higher) a plus
•Must be able to lift and carry 30 - 50 lbs.
•Excellent communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are essential
•Must be able to work on weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
