Vertex Pharmaceuticals is currently looking for an Administrative Associate II/III to support the Heads of Market Access and Health Economics, Outcomes, and Value (HEOV) as well as partially support the
Senior Vice President of Government Strategy, Access, and Value during the time that he is in Boston.

The position required strong attention to details,
excellent organization skills and project coordination. Additionally, this
individual will have to be available by cell phone and have the capacity to
protect the confidentiality of Vertex-related matters and materials.  The work is generally non-routine in nature, and is usually performed under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and willing to adapt to the changing needs of these managers. The position offer great opportunity for building skills and experience as an important part of a new team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administrative Associate provides day-to-day administrative processes associated with the Head of Market Access and HEOV and team coordination with little to no supervisory input, including scheduling
meetings, preparing documents, and presentation materials, phones calls, drafting letters, arranging travel.

Ensure accurate filing and tracking of all departmental documentation, including memos, correspondence, presentations and travel reports (T&E).

Arrange lunches and site-based meetings, domestic and international meetings, obtain appropriate approvals, schedule appointments, screen, route and # or respond to calls, set up and maintain files.

Coordinate both on- and off-site meeting planning, general coordination and time/schedule management are all key parts of this position.

Communicate regularly with team members in Cambridge MS, Washington DC, and Geneva, Switzerland

Manage timely submission of travel expenses.

In order to be successful at this position it will be important to exercise independent judgment to optimize internal processes and procedures.

Finally, there will be a need to be flexible and perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree

- 5+ years previous administrative support experience in an administrative role

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working in the commercial organization of a small to medium size pharmaceutical or biotech company are considered as assets

- Demonstrated excellent communication, verbal and written formats in English

- Recognized as a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, flexible, reliable

- Proficient in advanced Microsoft Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Lync.  Lotus Notes experience is a plus

- Proven ability in coordinating and managing multiple activities with the ability to prioritize work with deadlines with only minor supervision
