Job Description

Responsible for Global medical information & MSL activities for defined oncology product(s) and/or related disease states including global medical information & MSL strategy, planning & execution. Responsibilities will also include development and implementation (with supervision) of strategy to establish medical information excellence worldwide.

• Develop Global Medical Information and MSL action plans for assigned product(s) and ensure alignment with Global Product Team (GPT) and Global Medical Affairs (GMA) priorities.

• Provide strategic direction for content development of Medical Information Global Guidance Documents (GGDs) for assigned product(s) to ensure accu-racy, consistency and most current medical literature. Lead review and ap-proval process.

• Manage implementation of Global MSL deliverables, training and resources for assigned products and/or related disease states.

• Manage MSL Insights team to gain external customer insights for develop-ment of Integrated Disease & Product Strategy (IDAPs) and optimize global tools and resources.

• Manage global escalation process for medical information inquiries in col-laboration with global cross-functional experts to ensure the provision of the timely and high quality responses as defined by metrics.

• Liaise with countries and regions to evaluate medical inquiries worldwide to identify emerging issues and provide feedback to Global teams on customer insights and needs.

• Manage Medical Information excellence activities in assigned region or cluster.

Requirements

Position will be filled at level commensurate with experience

Minimum: Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a health care related field.

English: fluent oral and written

Manager Level Criteria:

• Minimum 2 years experience in pharmaceutical industry in medical information or clinical research/medical affairs or medical education

• Excellent working knowledge of Medical Information activities and expertise in using literature databases

• Thorough knowledge of drug development, registration and marketing processes

• Oncology therapeutic knowledge preferred

• Excellent written/oral communication skills and strong understanding of Medical Writing

• Strong interpersonal communication and presentations skills

• Basic project and process management knowledge

• Strong customer focus

• MSL, Medical Information & Communication, or Medical Affairs experience preferred

Associate Director level criteria:

5-7 years experience in pharmaceutical industry or healthcare related, in a medical information, medical affairs, medical education or clinical research role.

• Excellent working knowledge of Medical Information activities and expertise

• Proficient level of understanding of pharmaceutical business, including drug development process, and legal/compliance global environment

• Strong Oncology therapeutic knowledge

• Excellent written/oral communication skills and proficient in Medical Writing

• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentations skills

• Demonstrated innovation in processes / technical approaches

• Demonstrated organizational awareness including experience working cross- functionally and globally with strong influencing and leadership skills in a matrix organization

• Demonstrated project and process management skills

• Strong customer focus

• MSL, Medical Information & Communication, or Medical Affairs experience preferred
