Position Summary:
Develop and nurture relationships with customers and potential customers, promoting and selling AKB products and services within the assigned territory in a manner that is consistent with business plans and company objectives.

Established in 2010, Asahi Kasei Bioprocess (AKB) provides pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers with a comprehensive suite of tools to maximize safety and improve yields of biotherapeutics during research, clinical and commercial-scale production. PlanovaTM virus-removal filters anchor a diverse product portfolio defined by quality, consistency and scalability. Additional areas of expertise include liquid chromatography, inline buffer dilution and oligonucleotide synthesis.

Duties:
Promote sales of AKB products and services – particularly Planova virus filters - in assigned territory, securing firm orders from customers at an annual level that meets or exceeds mutually-agreed goals.

Develop and execute specific account strategies, account portfolios and territory business plans by identifying and working with appropriate decision makers in customer and potential customer organizations.

Promote customer satisfaction by providing product and application information, answering inquiries, issuing quotations, investigating complaints and taking appropriate action utilizing all available resources.

Communicate best practices and sales successes and assist with training and coaching of other AKB team members.

Conduct demonstrations of AKB products and deliver application presentations to potential customers.

Present and report competitive product information and observed competitor market activity / perceived strategies.

Maintain and update customer contact and prospect list database.

Preparation of forecasts and budgets for territory sales and volume.

Complete customer visit reports, monthly activity reports and expense reports in a timely manner.

Represent AKB at exhibitions / technical symposia, including booth duties, technical presentations, etc. Recommend suitable exhibitions / symposia in which AKB should participate.

Requirements

Education:
Minimum of BS/BA in Life Science related field

Experience:
At least 1 year life science laboratory experience, preferably in a BioProcessing or related Biological/Bioengineering field.

Experience:
1-3 years experience successfully delivering sales revenue and growth.

Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driving license with good driving record

Knowledge:
Filtration techniques and/or bioprocessing technologies.

Demonstrated success selling life-science products & services.

Candidate will work out of a home office in the Raleigh area. Other southeast locations will be considered based on proximity to customer base and airport access.
