Description
The University of Utah Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is seeking academic Gastroenterologists with commitment to patient care, teaching, and clinical investigation. Interests in GI cancers, inflammatory bowel diseases, general GI, hepatology, and endoscopy are encouraged. The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City and is the major referral center for a five-state region. Members of the Division hold academic appointments at the U of U Medical Center, the Salt Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Huntsman Cancer Institute. Research strengths of the Division include: genetics/colon cancer, genomics and biomarkers, hepatitis C and liver diseases, and therapeutic endoscopy. World class support in genetics, bioinformatics, and population databases are available at the University and Huntsman Cancer Institute. A dedicated NIH funded Clinical Research Center supports clinical research projects. The division has over 10,000 square-feet in two new endoscopy units at the U of U Medical Center and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
