Description

Ensures center compliance with all federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and donor safety.

* Assists the Facility Manager in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes as needed, through the use of company approved procedures.

* Develops talent within the center.

* Supports center goals to attract, retain, reward, and motivates a diverse workforce.

* Trains, coaches and mentors staff.

* Participates in the selection process for management and supervisory personnel within the center.

* Works in collaboration with management and supervisor members for center staff selection and hiring.

* Works in collaboration with Facility Manager and management team to prepare for and host (if needed) internal and external auditors.

* Actively participates in implementing corrective action plans to resolve audit observations and support the Facility Manager in providing a timely audit response.

* Prepares routine reports and keeps management apprised of center operations and operational issues.

* Assists in center production areas as needed.

* Assumes responsibilities of Facility Manager, in his/her absence.

* May participate in the management of projects and new initiatives within the center or across centers.

Requirements

Effective communication, interpersonal, technical and troubleshooting skills.

* Ability to coach and develop a team of diverse individuals.

* Ability to understand, communicate, and apply technical documents and instructions.

* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.

* Aptitude for working with production, financial marketing and other statistical data is desirable.

* Associate or Bachelors degree and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience within most recent 5 years, preferably in a regulated industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Production/Office environment.

* Occasional travel required.

* May require weekend and extended work periods.

* May assist in center production areas as needed which requires bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours at a time).

* Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens.
