Description

PhotoThera, Inc is a privately-held medical device company located in Carlsbad, CA and is funded by a group of well-known venture capital firms. The Company is developing proprietary, noninvasive laser energy therapies that may revolutionize the clinical care and management of ischemic stroke, traumatic brain injury, global ischemia and other conditions characterized by disturbances in cellular metabolic function.

The Companys initial product, the NeuroThera Laser System, will focus on the Transcranial Laser Therapy (TLT) of acute ischemic stroke. Estimates show that, in the United States, there are more than 600,000 ischemic strokes annually, and that stroke is the leading cause of serious long-term disability. In an initial clinical trial, TLT with the NeuroThera device demonstrated safety and efficacy up to 24 hours after the onset of stroke.

We are looking for a Clinical Trials Assistant to join our team!

The Clinical Trial Assistant will track all study information and documentation, file all clinical documents, assist in the coordination of clinical trials and provide administrative support to the clinical department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Maintain clinical tracking system and spreadsheets for investigator site contact information and documentation, CRA contact information and monitoring report completion, and subject enrollment details
* File and track all project files, ensuring accurate inventory on an ongoing basis to guarantee the files are complete and can be used as a source of reference
* Interact with investigators to obtain necessary documentation and information before, during and the study
* Provide administrative support to the clinical management team
* Assist in the creation of case report forms and other study forms as required
* Work closely with CRAs to ensure they are completing monitoring visits and reports in a timely manner and have all supplies needed to successfully monitor sites
* Support other departments within the company as time permits

Requirements

Qualifications:

* Thorough knowledge of clinical trial documentation and terminology
* Familiar with clinical trial design and GCP/ICH guidelines
* Ability to complete multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner
* Superior organizational skills and ability to pay meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Flexibility towards work assignments and learning opportunities

Education and/or Experience:

* High School diploma or equivalent with one to two years of experience in clinical operations or equivalent training

Computer Skills:

* Excellent skills in Excel and Word; experience with other Microsoft based applications (Publisher and Access) preferred
