Sr. Medical Director/Vice President - Alzheimer's Disease Expert
The Sr Director or Vice President ndash; AD will be the internal expert, key opinion leader, product champion and patient advocate for the AD immunotherapy pipeline. He/she will interface with global key opinion leaders in AD in continuous engagement around the flow of scientific and clinical developments as they relate to drug development strategy and tactics. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of the AD clinical trial portfolio through to filing/approval. He/she will extensively interface with FDA, EMEA and other regulatory bodies that will influence the drug's ultimate success. The Sr Dir or VP will work with colleagues in medical affairs, commercialization, legal and regulatory affairs to optimize market preparation for the AD pipeline as it proceeds to approval and release. As the subject matter expert, the successful candidate will ultimately ensure AD program success coupled with patient, physician and key opinion leader engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
bull;Well recognized scientific and educational credentials including a board-certified MD. Teaching and research success will have come with progressive seniority, grant support and peer reviewed contributions to the literature.
bull;Pharmaceutical drug development and US registration experience is necessary. European Union experience would be an asset.
bull;Neuroscience expertise, focused in Alzheimer's Disease, gained through education, research, clinical or management experience.
bull;Elite academic experience as a physician scientist with impeccable, teaching, research and patient care credentials.
bull;Knowledge of pharmaceutical development, clinical trial design and execution and regulatory strategy are essential.
bull;Progressively senior, visible and metrics oriented executive leadership roles will have characterized the successful candidate's professional life.
bull;Experience in organizations where the balance between excellent science, effective products, patient needs, physician preferences and fiduciary duty have been successfully achieved.
