DESCRIPTION

The Director of Business Development position is currently available at Rexahn.

Responsibilities include:
- Actively identify and evaluate potential licensing or alliance opportunities, leading to successful contracts or partnerships
- Lead and/or support licensing communications including initial presentations, diligence visits, deal negotiations and other activities needed to complete partnership transactions.
- Network with big pharmaceuticals, government agencies, and academia to keep the company abreast of pharmaceutical industry trends and partnership opportunities
- Assist Executive Management Team in updating and executing a corporate and business development strategy
- Support other Corporate Development functions including M&A analysis, in/ out-licensing and portfolio prioritization as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree, with strong emphasis in business and life sciences. MBA is preferred
- Substantial experience in bio-pharmaceutical industry in business development, investment banking/ research, strategic consulting etc.
- Experience in negotiating and closing deals.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Must be able to lead multi-disciplinary teams
- Expected travel (10-20%)
