DESCRIPTION
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute currently has a computational biology position available to become an integral member of an oncology team with a focus on genomic approaches to understanding cellular differentiation, cancer pathogenesis and cancer therapy discovery (Nature Genetics 2002; 30:41-47, Nature 2006; 442: 818-822, Nat Genet. 2004 36: 257-63). Duties include analysis of complex expression profiling data, high-throughput screening data, and SNP/sequencing analysis, for example. The successful candidate will lead data analysis and algorithm development and have extensive interaction with other computational biologists at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Broad Institute. The candidate should have advanced degrees and/or significant experience in both life sciences and a computer science field (M.S. or Ph.D. in bioinformatics/computer science preferred). Experience in data mining, text mining, algorithm development or genomic analysis is required. Experience in cell biology, molecular biology, immunology or genomics is a plus. The candidates must be able to communicate current bioinformatics technology in a clear and precise manner, and to discuss projects with other scientists to advise what relevant tools should be used. The candidate must also have expertise in application development using such languages as Java, PERL, C, or C++, and a working understanding of database development.

REQUIREMENTS:
PhD level or equivalent in computational biology, computer science, biology, or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience with computational analysis. Programming skills required. Label
