Account Manager Animal Health, Quality and Safety Testing

Responsibilities
We currently have a territory opening in the San Francisco Bay Area for the Animal Health, Quality & Safety Testing business within the Applied Markets Division. As a member of our dynamic, high achieving sales team, you will use your business acumen and sales professionalism to establish new markets while building on existing ones. This position will focus on selling Applied Biosystems instruments, consumables, software and services to the Animal Health market as well as Food, Public Health, BioSecurity markets in the San Francisco Bay Area. Will work closely with the MCB division and AB field applications specialists to develop relationships within these markets.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements
• This position requires the knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related scientific field. Completion of graduate level courses or MBA would be a plus.
• Requires at least 5-10 years' successful sales experience.
• The knowledge of Molecular and Micro Biology laboratory techniques such as PCR and Genetic Analysis is highly desirable.
• Practical territory management and sales experience in life science instrumentation and consumables is required.
• Ability to manage through others and be part of an effective team is a must.
• Proactive attitude, ambition and the confidence necessary to achieve assigned quota while developing new markets and sales strategies is necessary for success in this position.
• Moderate travel (50%) and Valid Driver's License is required.
