DESCRIPTION
The Sales Specialist (Instrumentation Specialist) will demonstrate and sell Bio-Rad's diverse and extensive line of scientific instruments to life science research customers. This includes working with existing named accounts as well as prospecting for new customers, qualifying leads, and training customers after the sales. Product lines include imaging equipment, real-time PCR, micro plate readers, proteomics devices, bioinformatics software, microarray and liquid chromatography.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications include a B.S. in life science discipline: M.S. a plus. Minimum of three years of successful sales experience to the life science research market; capital equipment sales experience strongly preferred. Other complementary skills include basic laboratory application skills, including multiplex instrumentation technology, electrophoresis, chromatography, RT-PCR, and imaging.
Strong interpersonal skills including presentation and closing skills as well as a professional appearance and demeanor are expected. Other expected competencies include: the ability to work independently and as part of a regional team. Proficiency in basic desktop computer applications is required. Experience with Saleforce.com is a plus.
