DESCRIPTION
ADVENT Engineering Services is an engineering consulting firm serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Head-quartered in San Francisco, California, and with operations in the Eastern US (NC), and Asia-Pacific, our company is involved in almost every facet of global pharmaceutical and biotechnology facility design and process engineering projects.

ADVENT's services include process engineering, project engineering, facility/system design, start up and commissioning as well as troubleshooting and compliance consulting for the industry’s distinguished and successful biotechnology manufacturing companies.

Process Engineer – Full Time

Based in either RTP-North Carolina/ San Francisco (Bay Area)/ Eastern US (NJ/PA), the successful candidate will work with a group of talented process engineers involved in the design, commissioning and start up of various processes and facilities. A combination of strong technical aptitude, project engineering skills and dedication to excellence, make up the ideal skill set required for this position.

Responsibilities include generation of engineering specifications and drawings, review of engineering documents, field-testing of equipment/systems such (fermentors, chromatography systems, high purity water and steam systems, control systems, vial and syringe filling equipment as well as Isolators). Responsibilities also include generation and execution of commissioning & qualification technical test plans (FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, PQ) and final reports summarizing testing activities and deviations across a wide variety of equipment, utilities and automation systems used in the biopharmaceutical industry. Project engineering responsibilities include client-management, project scheduling/budgeting, and coordination of client and ADVENT resources for effective project delivery.


REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a minimum B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline and prior work experience of 2 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries. An advanced degree is a plus.

The candidate must have direct experience in the design or commissioning/qualification of the following systems: Upstream/Downstream bulk process equipment, Lyophillization, Aseptic Filling of vial and syringe forms, Sterilization, Pasteurization, Clean-In-Place, Clean Utilities (WFI/PW, Pure Steam, Clean Gases). ABB or Delta V DCS experience is a plus. The ideal candidate possesses the desire to work in a technical capacity with a passion for engineering and technology.
