Biotech Bay Hotbed Map Evolution
Mapping the Course of Biotech History
In recognition of the map’s historical significance, the original 1989 Biotech Bay™ map hangs on display at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History in Washington D.C.
For more than 20 years the Biotech Bay™ Hotbed map has exhibited hundreds of industry leaders, universities and research organizations — helping each gain exposure, brand recognition and notoriety in the life sciences.
Today BioSpace publishes nine Hotbed maps each year representing biotechnology clusters in the U.S. and Canada.
BioSpace.com features each map on its own homepage, with links to individual profiles comprising a corporate summary, related news and links to job postings. The click-thru-rate for company profiles is 11 times greater than website banner advertising, offering map participants a powerful tool to reach job seekers.
BioSpace also hosts 25 Career Fairs in the Hotbed regions - three in the Bay Area.
