    Experience a taste of Marietta's history by strolling through its five neighborhoods listed on the National Historic Register. Or visit the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield and Park, the site of two major battles of the American Civil War. There's also the Marietta Museum of History, where you'll find 19th-and 20th-century clothing and accessories, and its Civil War gallery exhibits genuine weapons and ammunition. For history of a different kind, literary and film enthusiasts can stop at the Gone With the Wind Museum on Marietta Square to behold original costumes, rare books, advertisements, and collectibles

Donated by the city's first mayor, it hosts an annual Arts & Crafts Festival and the Glover Park Concert Series weekly between April and August. Be sure to sample the various ethnic delights at A Taste of the Marietta, Marietta's yearly food festival. And theme park lovers will enjoy Six Flags' White Water Park, located just south of the city and only a short drive away.
