And you won't want to miss the shows at the Alex Theatre; the legendary landmark has seen countless famous performers and productions in its more than 75 years of operation. Keep an eye on the calendar so you can catch fun events like the annual Glendale Cruise Night Car Show and Street Party, when live music fills the streets and 400 hot rods cruise downtown. And when you want a fix of the big city, downtown LA is only 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of Glendale.
