The Welders' Supply Company / WSC Specialty Gases & Cryogenics is an independently-owned company that has been serving Greater Maryland of more than 75 years. Historically, WSC has been a long time supplier of industrial gases, equipment and accessories for the welding and gas handling industries. Overcoming the economic challenges that have foiled many city businesses, WSC has survived by proactive business planning. Inspired by Baltimore's life science initiative, WSC Specialty Gases & Cryogenics was formed in 1992. A division of The Welders' Supply Company, WSC Specialty Gases & Cryogenics was established to service biotechnology companies, research laboratories, universities and hospitals. Products offered by this division include pure and mixed gases (helium, hydrogen, nitrogen and argon), cryogenic supplies (liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen and cryogenic dewars), and the equipment and accessories for high purity gas handling.
As a supplier of these gases, WSC Specialty Gases & Cryogenics has its own bulk system of liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide and compressed helium. A laboratory containing the finest analysis equipment in the marketplace allows for the formulation, analysis and manufacturing of these high-purity and cryogenic products.
