Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation Announces DICOM Radiation Dose Structured Report on All New Vascular Systems for Better Dose Management and Safer Patient Exams

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Enabling clinicians to better manage dose for safer vascular X-ray procedures, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. has introduced Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Radiation Dose Structured Report on all new Toshiba InfinixTM-i vascular X-ray systems. Toshiba’s DICOM Radiation Dose Structured Report automatically records radiation dose information from every X-ray event, from beginning to end, based on each pedal push administered by the clinician. The data is transferred into a standard format suitable for storage, making it easier for clinicians to document, manage and evaluate overall dose usage.
