10/18/2011 12:31:15 PM

BOERNE, TX – October 17, 2011 – Stanbio Laboratory – a leader in medical testing and diagnostic devices – will showcase its portfolio of products from November 16th through November 19th at the MEDICA 2011 World Forum for Medicine International Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Stanbio Laboratory display will be in Hall 2 Stand D06.

“This year’s MEDICA will be more dynamic than ever and extra special for us,” said William R. Pippin, Stanbio Laboratory President. “In June of this year, Stanbio Laboratory became part of the EKF Diagnostics Group – a family of international companies focused on the rapidly developing near-patient care and diabetes management markets. With this historic change, the worldwide presence of Stanbio has taken a huge leap forward,” Pippin added.

Visitors to this year’s MEDICA are encouraged to stop by the Stanbio Laboratory display to learn more about the company’s new distribution partners, innovative products and technologies. “Stanbio Laboratory is now supported by an even deeper management team of extraordinarily experienced and talented individuals,” Pippin said. “Our parent company, EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc, is publically traded on the London Stock Exchange and is providing the foundation for our tremendous growth opportunities globally,” Pippin said.

MEDICA is a hub of medical trade and a worldwide center of attraction for all those involved in the health care industry. Around 138,000 visitors from well over 100 countries are expected to again obtain information on all the current and future trends in in-patient and out-patient care at this annual event.

MEDICA regularly features around 4,400 exhibitors from around the world displaying their OEM products and services over an exhibit area consisting of 19 halls and spanning nearly 1.3 million net square feet of exhibit space. Stanbio Laboratory will be one of an expected 450+ exhibitors from the United States, Canada and North America.

Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Boerne, Texas, Stanbio Laboratory manufactures and markets medical testing and diagnostic devices including clinical chemistry, pregnancy, strep A, serology, urinalysis, and point-of-care hemoglobin tests. Stanbio Laboratory’s Quality System is ISO 13485 registered and its facility operates under USFDA current GMP requirements.
