Publication of Change in the Total Number of Shares and Votes in Diamyd Medical AB

STOCKHOLM--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Regulatory News: As of December 30, 2010, the share capital in Diamyd Medical AB (publ.) (Pink Sheets:DMYDY)(STO:DIAMB) is 14,736,117.50 SEK. The total number of votes is 4,241,311.9 and the total number of shares is 29,472,235, divided among 1,437,876 shares of series A (1 vote) and 28,034,359 shares of series B (1/10 vote). This change is due to the exercise of granted employee stock options in the stock option plan of 2007/2010, approved by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2007 and in the stock option plan of 2008/2011, approved by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2008. The stock option plan of 2007/2010 will expire by December 31, 2010.
