Boston, MA – KeraFAST, Inc., a Life Science Research Products Company that offers unique bioreagents, rare laboratory research materials and services, today opened its new headquarters in Boston with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by state, local and industry officials. The company’s new 3,000 square foot facility is located at 27 Drydock Ave. in Boston’s Innovation District. Mayor Menino’s life sciences program, LifeTech, assisted KeraFAST, Inc in finding the location. The company had previously been headquartered in North Carolina.

Participants in the event included Robert Bondaryk, Ph.D., President and CEO, KeraFAST, Inc., Peter Meade, Director, Boston Redevelopment Authority, Susan Windham-Bannister, Ph.D., President & CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, State Senator Jack Hart, State Representative Nick Collins, and Kendalle Burlin O’Connell, Director of Strategic Alliances/In-House Counsel for MassBio.

“We are exceedingly pleased to move our headquarters to Boston to join the Innovation District and surrounding Massachusetts communities in advancing the forward progress of life science research,” said Robert Bondaryk, Ph.D., CEO of KeraFAST. “We join with our shareholders in the excitement of our next phase of growth in the capital of the Commonwealth at the center of this remarkable life science research universe.”

“Massachusetts is leading the world in the life sciences industry thanks to our growth strategy of investing in education, innovation and infrastructure,” said Governor Deval Patrick. “We welcome KeraFAST, and we look forward to working with them to create jobs and opportunities in the Commonwealth.”

“I am pleased to welcome KeraFAST to Boston,” said Mayor Thomas M. Menino, “and I am proud that the City’s LifeTech team assisted KeraFAST in finding an ideal location in Boston’s fastest growing life sciences cluster - the Innovation District.”

“We are excited to welcome KeraFAST to the Massachusetts Life Sciences community,” said Susan Windham-Bannister, Ph.D., President & CEO of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, the agency charged with implementing Governor Patrick’s 10-year, $1 billion Life Sciences Initiative. “Their presence here will strengthen our life sciences supercluster. I am confident that the team at KeraFAST will find all of the resources and partners they need to grow in Massachusetts.”

“We are thrilled for Bob Bondaryk and the team at KeraFAST as they take this exciting step and make the Innovation District of Boston their home,” said Robert K. Coughlin, President & CEO of MassBio. “KeraFAST is a valued MassBio member, and an example of the vibrancy and breadth of the Massachusetts life sciences supercluster today. KeraFAST will surely thrive in the ecosystem of innovation and collaboration here in the Commonwealth.”

“As co-author of the legislation creating the life sciences center several years ago, I am always enthusiastic about the opportunity to grow the life sciences industry on the South Boston waterfront, and I welcome KeraFAST to South Boston,” said State Senator Jack Hart.
