Martindale Pharma Appoints AAH, Sangers and TPS Healthcare as Wholesaler Partners for Distribution of Hospital Products

Brentwood April 30 2013: Martindale Pharma, a leading international speciality pharmaceuticals company, today announced a change to distribution of its product portfolio to UK hospitals with the appointment of AAH, Sangers and TPS Healthcare as wholesale distributors.

With effect from 6th May 2013, Martindale Pharma’s products will be supplied to NHS and private hospitals via a reduced wholesaler model under which there will only be one or two wholesalers supplying Martindale Pharma products to hospitals. The chosen partners are:

England AAH

Wales AAH

Northern Ireland Sangers and AAH

Scotland TPS Healthcare and AAH

Richard de Souza, Chief Executive Officer of Martindale Pharma, said:

“We are very proud of our position as a major supplier of essential medicines to NHS and private hospitals. We are also conscious of the pressure to improve efficiencies and reduce costs in the NHS. We believe that working closely with AAH, Sangers and TPS Healthcare will help Martindale Pharma to continue to improve product supply and customer service to our hospital customers.”

Commercial terms of these agreements were not disclosed.

From 6th May 2013, hospitals will no longer be able to order Martindale Pharma products from wholesalers other than those listed above.
