FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 19, 2006--Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Nasdaq:GILD - News) today announced that it has agreed to exercise its option to purchase Corus Pharma for $365 million. Gilead management will discuss this planned acquisition on the company's Second Quarter 2006 Earnings conference call scheduled for Thursday, July 20th at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time.
