Equbits Partners With Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (BIO)

10/19/2005 5:11:44 PM

Equbits Foresight™ application brings the ability to generate local models to Bio-Rad’s KnowItAll® system.

PALO ALTO, Calif. — August 10, 2004 — Equbits LLC, the leading provider of ADME/Tox and HTS predictive modeling solutions, today announced a collaboration with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. (AMEX: BIO and BIOb), the leading publisher of fully verified spectral databases, cheminformatics, spectroscopy software and decision support systems for drug discovery. Bio-Rad customers will be able to generate custom ADME/Tox predictive models based on their own proprietary experimental data.

“Equbits is pleased to be collaborating with Bio-Rad,” said Hamilton Hitchings, Equbits CEO. “Bio-Rad offers a comprehensive solution for global ADME/Tox modeling. Integration with the Equbits Foresight™ application will provide a powerful complement as customers require the ability to generate local models based on their own experimental results. The relationship provides validation that Equbits delivers best-in-class predictive modeling technology. We are pleased to announce the relationship at IBC Drug Discovery & Technology 2004 in Boston.”

Equbits has integrated with Bio-Rad’s KnowItAll® system, an integrated suite of applications that includes software and database solutions for spectroscopy, cheminformatics, and ADME/Tox prediction.

Gregory M. Banik, Ph.D., General Manager, Bio-Rad Informatics Division, remarked, “Integration of Equbits’ technology with the KnowItAll® Informatics System marks a major step forward for in silico drug discovery. We look forward to working with Equibits in providing the most complete and accurate ADME/Tox solutions possible to pharmaceutical scientists worldwide.”
