American Brain Tumor Association Announces Quality of Life Grant Opportunity

4/12/2012 11:46:05 AM

(Chicago, IL – April 11, 2012) - The American Brain Tumor Association invites Minnesota- based 501(c)(3) organizations whose mission is consistent with that of the ABTA to apply for a Quality of Life Grant. The mission of the American Brain Tumor Association is to advance the understanding and treatment of brain tumors with the goals of improving, extending and, ultimately, saving the lives of those impacted by a brain tumor diagnosis. Small, restricted grants up to $10,000 will be awarded to recipients whose projects demonstrate the greatest impact in the brain tumor community.

Applicants can apply online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ABTAQOLGrantApp2012 or email Jennifer Westlund at jwestlund@abta.org for a paper copy of the application.

Application and supporting documentation must be completed in full and received online or postmarked no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Awardees will be notified six to eight weeks following the application deadline.

For more information about the ABTA’s research funding and grant programs, visit www.abta.org.

ABOUT THE AMERICAN BRAIN TUMOR ASSOCIATION

Founded in 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) was the first national nonprofit organization dedicated solely to funding brain tumor research. For nearly 40 years, the Chicago- based ABTA has provided critical funding to researchers working toward breakthroughs in brain tumor diagnosis, treatment and care, and is the only national organization providing comprehensive resources that support the complex needs of brain tumor patients and caregivers.
