10/19/2005 5:09:45 PM

Plantacor, Inc. has entered into an exclusive license agreement with The Texas A&M University System for patents and intellectual property related to substituted Diindolymethane (DIM) analogs derived from cruciferous vegetables for treatment of multiple cancers and other diseases. The agreement is focused on several unique compounds developed by Stephen H. Safe, D.Phil., Distinguished Professor of Toxicology at Texas A&M University and Texas Agricultural Experiment Station scientist. In extensive preclinical testing, these compounds have been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and, at higher concentrations, impart apoptosis or cancer cell death.
