LARCHMONT, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 2003--At the Renaissance Washington, D. C. Hotel on November 17-19, leading researchers, scientists, physicians, and entrepreneurs in cellular therapies, Alzheimer's disease, tissue engineering, new ventures, and substitutive medicine: organ replacement and repair will share the latest advances in the provocative new field of Regenerative Medicine. Regenerative Medicine, a unique new approach to healing that uses the body's own genes, proteins, antibodies, and cells to repair organs and tissues. Members of the press will assemble on Tuesday November 18th, at 10:30 a.m. for a press conference with Dr. William Haseltine.

Robert S. Langer, Ph.D., Kenneth J. Germeshausen, Professor of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering, MIT will present a keynote address November 17, at 6:00 p.m. on Novel Biomaterials.

Donald W. Fink, Jr., Ph.D., Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapies, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, will speak Wednesday, November 19, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the luncheon.

Linda Powers, Managing Director, Toucan Capital, will present a New Ventures Address November 19, at 1:00 p.m.
