|Description||This year's annual meeting of the Irish Section of the Biochemical Society (IASBS) has decided to focus on the theme of inflammatory diseases-mechanisms and clinical perspectives in order to address chronic inflammatory conditions which are fast becoming a significant threat to society.
Providing an excellent opportunity to discover novel research directions and thinking, as well as developing new collaborations, this topical meeting will review the latest advances in the field of inflammation, covering the molecular mechanisms that regulate innate immunity, the pathogenesis of immune-mediated diseases, the failure of the immune system in chronic infections/cancer and the impact of diet and exercise on inflammation/immunity.
Of relevance to immunologists, biomedical researchers, translational scientists and industrial partners, Inflammatory diseases - mechanisms and clinical perspectives will provide a forum to strengthen and develop new interactions whilst focussing on the latest advances in our understanding of mechanisms driving inflammatory pathologies and explore options and strategies for the treatments of inflammatory diseases.
