The immunodeficient NOD scid gamma (NSG) mouse strain enables human disease research that was previously impossible. This webinar will explain how NSG mice increase the efficiency and sophistication of human disease models in critical therapeutic areas, including:
• In vivo models that support the growth and integrity of the widest range of humans cells and tissues
• Advanced preclinical testing using the Patient-Derived Xenograft (PDX) resource of solid and hematological cancers
• The most efficient and reliable engraftment of human hematopoietic cells to date (“humanization”)
• A platform for novel transgenic and knockout strains that further supports the growth and function of human tissues in vivo
