Position Summary

The University of North Carolina School of Dentistry invites applications for a full-time, open rank, tenure track faculty position in the Department of Periodontology. We are seeking an outstanding scientist, educator, and clinician. The selected candidate will conduct research in state-of-the-art facilities, preferably in the discipline of host pathogen interactions; teach in the Doctor of Dental Surgery and/or Master of Science/Certificate in Periodontics programs and serve as a role model/mentor in the Oral Biology PhD program; and be eligible to participate in an active intramural Periodontology faculty practice.

Educational Requirements

A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a health science research field or equivalent degree are required.
