MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Zimmer Spine, Inc. today announced that the Company has launched the Viewline Tube Retraction System, Viewline Retractor System, and Viewline Posterior MIS Instrument Set to facilitate exposure, retraction, decompression and disc preparation for MIS TLIF/PLIF/PLF and microdiscectomy procedures.

The Viewline Tube Retraction System features 40mm through 120mm tube length options, as well as three tube diameters to accommodate a range of spinal anatomy. The Viewline Retractor System offers 50mm through 120mm blade options with 30 degrees of blade pivoting for maximum access through a smaller incision, as well as two, three or four blades that move independently for maximum customization. Both Viewline Systems feature an innovative angled attachment arm to minimize tube profile, a rotating table clamp providing rigid stabilization and a cool LED light source to improve visualization while reducing heat exposure during surgery.

"For the spine surgeon who performs minimally invasive TLIF and PLIF procedures, the Viewline Systems provide comprehensive versatility for MIS posterior access," said Steve Healy, President, Zimmer Spine. "Combined with the PathFinderNXT® Minimally Invasive Pedicle Screw System and the TM Ardis® Interbody System, these state-of-the-art retractor systems enhance Zimmer Spine's complete, minimally invasive TLIF and PLIF procedural solution."
