Yongye Biotechnology International Appoints KPMG International, Inc. as New Independent Auditor

BEIJING, May 26 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Yongye Biotechnology International, Inc. ("Yongye" or the "Company"), a leading developer and distributor of plant and animal nutrient products located in the People's Republic of China, today announced that it changed auditors from MSPC Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, P.C. ("MSPC") to KPMG Huazhen ("KPMG"), a member firm of KPMG International.

The client-auditor relationship between Yongye and MSPC ended as of May 21, 2009 in regard to all accounting and auditing services, and all quarterly reporting up through and including May 21, 2009. All accounting and auditing services, and all quarterly reports from May 22, 2009 on will be handled by KPMG. MSPC was Yongye's auditor for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2008. There were no disagreements between Yongye and MSPC on any matter of accounting principles, practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure, from the beginning to the end of MSPC's engagement with Yongye.

The decision to engage KPMG as the Company's principal independent auditor was approved by Yongye's Audit Committee and Board of Directors on May 19, 2009.
