Xel Pharmaceuticals Announces TCM Patch for Alzheimer’s

September 16, 2208 -- Xel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. of Utah is developing the use of a transdermal patch to deliver a TCM drug from China as a potential treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. The company announced that it has produced a prototype patch that delivers 400-800 mcg of Huperzine A per day for up to seven days. A naturally occurring alkaloid, Huperzine A is derived from the club moss Huperzia serrata. It has been in use in China as a prescription drug for dementia as well as fevers. More details...
