X-spine Granted Key Patent for Disk Augmentation System

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spinal technology company X-spine Systems, Inc., today announced that the United States Patent Office granted a key patent protecting the company's latest technology for augmentation of the spinal disk and functional spinal unit: "Disk Augmentation System and Method, US 7,282,065."
“We believe this technology represents the next evolution in the surgical treatment of degenerative disk disease,” states David Kirschman, M.D., president of X-spine. “The key concept of this technology is to augment, rather than replace, degenerating spinal motion elements, including disks and facet joints.”
