Worldwide Clinical Trials Introduces Latest Additions To Its Webinar Series, To Commemorate Heart Month And Rare Disease Day

MORRISVILLE, NC, FEBRUARY 9, 2017 – Worldwide Clinical Trials (www.worldwide.com) has announced the latest additions to its free webinar series, both taking place in February. The first of two informative sessions will address the future of heart failure research in honor of Heart Month, while the second will examine the impact of emerging opportunities on innovative trial design and execution in rare disease clinical trials on Rare Disease Day.

On Thursday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. ET, Worldwide will host its Heart Month webinar titled, “The Future in Heart Failure: Novel Therapies, Innovative Trial Designs & Stakeholder Diversity.” Participants will hear from Michael Murphy, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Medical & Scientific Officer at Worldwide, and Toni Bransford, M.D., Senior Medical Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs at Worldwide. They will discuss a range of topics including emerging heart failure therapies and trial designs; how to demonstrate value when novelty is not enough; and the who, what and why of diverse stakeholders.

The next webinar in the series will celebrate Rare Disease Day on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. ET. The webinar, titled “Rare Disease Clinical Trials: An Opportunity for Differentiated Services,” will be hosted by Dr. Murphy, who will be joined by Leslie Wetherell, Executive Director, Project Management, Rare Disease Franchise Lead at Worldwide. They will discuss emerging opportunities for an “outside the box” approach to both study and program design; how family engagement informs both trial design and operational strategy; and how innovative development strategies necessitate efficient, high quality program execution.
