Trone was part of a panel sponsored by the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce on the "new Virginia economy." The panel included Washington Kastles owner and serial investor Mark Ein, as well U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly, D-Va., and U.S. Rep. Barbara Comstock, R-Va.
