Why Merck & Co. May Find Twitter an Unfriendly Environment to Be In

For a medium that can be so in your face Twitter can also deliver something of slow painful burn, as pharmaceutical outfit Merck is now discovering. The company is being pursued by consumers who believe some of its drugs are doing lasting harm. And the micro-blogging network is giving them a voice as our first Retweet Report of the year reveals.

There were over 4.4 million retweets this last week according to the KINSHIP digital / Which-50 Retweet report. That is much higher than the regular retweet activity which usually sits around the 3 million mark.
