Why Bodies Store Fat When We Eat at Night, Vanderbilt University Study

Insulin activity is controlled by the body’s circadian clock, which helps explain why not only what you eat, but when you eat, matters. A new study published in the journal Current Biology is the first to definitively show the connection between our circadian rhythm and insulin activity. The findings suggest that a disruption in that rhythm can lead to obesity and increase the risk for diabetes and heart disease.
