COSTA MESA, Calif., May. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- WCCT Global, a full service CRO located in Southern California, is supporting the 2015 National Asthma & Allergy Awareness Month, celebrated each year by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, by strongly advocating the conduct of respiratory clinical research. In addition to their Orange County based Phase I-IV clinical pharmacology units, the organization has dedicated an entire outpatient site towards conducting clinical research in asthma, allergies, and other respiratory conditions. Among other therapeutic areas, WCCT Global prides itself on excellence in respiratory clinical research, and was therefore prompted to dedicate an entire outpatient facility towards making advances in this field. The site is located in Long Beach, CA, and maintains a large database of active asthma and allergy patients, as well as patients with other respiratory conditions, ensuring that the programs conducted at the facility is never lacking in patients for clinical studies. Furthermore, WCCT Global has an active community outreach program dedicated to patient education in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic and respiratory diseases. The facility is well equipped to conduct asthma research, with an emphasis on pediatric asthma.

WCCT Global's CEO, Kenneth Kim, MD, had this to say about the AAFA's month of awareness: "As an organization, we fully support patient education for asthma, allergy, and other respiratory conditions during this month and throughout the year. While many may assume that asthma and allergies are non-threatening with many available treatments, those who conduct respiratory clinical research know that there is still much room for improvement in terms of finding effective treatments for these conditions. We are proud to be able to be a part of this national effort to find better treatments, and we're proud to have a research facility dedicated to this cause."

The full service CRO is looking forward to the completion of many respiratory clinical research studies in the coming years and months, and welcomes the opportunity to conduct further research with other Sponsors and drug development firms.
