ViaCell, Inc. Names John F. Thero Chief Financial Officer

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ViaCell, Inc. (Nasdaq: VIAC) today announced the appointment of John F. Thero as the Company’s Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he will have broad responsibility for all financial and administrative matters of the Company and be actively involved in corporate development and other strategic and operational matters. He will report directly to Marc D. Beer, ViaCell’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Thero replaces Stephen G. Dance who is leaving the Company to pursue new opportunities. Mr. Dance will remain with the Company for a transition period.
