Varian Medical Systems Books $87 Million Order on Maryland Proton Therapy Center
Varian Medical (NYSE:VAR) snagged an $87 million order to outfit the Maryland Proton Therapy Center with 1 of its cancer treatment devices.
The MPTC will be getting Varian's ProBeam proton therapy system, and Varian plans to book the order in its fiscal 2015 3rd quarter. As a result, Varian said it expects to add $80 million in revenue and about 22ยข of earnings per share to its previous fiscal 2015 guidance.
