University of Virginia Grads Invent New Epidural Methods

There are few things in the world of innovation that grabs your attention and holds on through the show. The Rivanna Medical device ‘Accuro’ is the new device in the world of sonogram imaging. Kevin Owen and Will Mauldin have created and acquired FDA approval for this new technology meant to provide a faster way to deliver epidural locals.

Owen and Mauldin met at a University of Virginia biomedical engineering lab while working on a project to help women giving birth. Their focus was ultrasound research, and from this came the idea to solve a big problem.
