Universal Detection Technology to Submit an Operational Requirements Document on Recommendation of the Department of Homeland Security

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 24, 2008) - Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UDTT) (FRANKFURT: PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, reported today that it is submitting an Operational Requirements Document (ORD) to the Department of Homeland Security based on the department's recommendation. By submitting an ORD, a company becomes eligible to apply for a partnership with the Department of Homeland Security through the SECURE Program to develop products and/or services.
