U.S. Manufacturing Firm MGS Mfg Group to Create 150 Jobs in Ireland

Manufacturing company MGS Mfg group is to create 150 jobs as it sets up a new facility in Leixlip, Co Kildare. The company is to invest over $12m over three years in the new plant on the Hewlett Packard campus. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland. It said the new facility will further develop and build on existing business connections in Europe. The US company engineers and manufactures advanced moulded plastic products, such as those used in medical devices. It also supplies 50% of all HP ink cartridges around the world. ''This facility will support our high end customer base in both Ireland, where Hewlett-Packard manufacturing operations are one of MGS's key partners, and other European markets,'' commented the company's general manager Michael Cummins. ''We are pleased with the talented workforce in the region and to join the many premier international companies that call Ireland home,'' he added.
