Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. reportedly got tentative approval from the U.S.Food and Drug Administration for its memantine hydrochloride pill, the generic version of Forest Laboratories Inc.’s Namenda medicine to treat Alzheimer’s disease. The shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals closed at Rs. 534, down by Rs. 12 or 2%, as against the previous close of 546.
