SWIowa -- An unemployed Omaha man's temporary gig will give his budget a shot in the arm. And when it's over, Ryan Meeks will be very familiar with the needle. Later this month, Meeks intends to participate in a clinical study for an osteoporosis drug. He'll pocket about $2,000 for giving 38 blood samples, among other things, while spending eight days and nights away from home.
